Tbf this whole saga risks our future

We have a vast amount of capital tied up in players that we are not getting a tune out of. That is capital that we need to make a profit on - or at the very least recoup. We will need to sell one or two in the summer for various reasons but on current trajectory we won’t be realising anywhere near their potential value.

We need to continue to attract and develop talented young players. What is the attraction when we so obviously have a glass ceiling, and seem to freeze out players who make mistakes whilst giving others a pass?

We’ve made £85m in player trading profit over the past 5 years and still can’t compete financially with our peers. What will the next 5 years look like if we continue to cock this up now? I don’t even want to think about the ramifications of not bouncing back at the first attempt.

How much of this team (or what we will have left in the summer) have seen Farke at his best, and can believe that he can turn things around next season? Will the team be going into next season believing in itself or fearing that the current playing philosophy and direction of travel is more of the same?

Sticking with Farke is as much of a risk as changing.
