If refs and VAR turned down pathetic shouts for a penalty such as this one then players would stay on their feet more and try to score. It would improve the game hugely. You hear ‘pundits’ talking about the attacker waiting for contact. How on earth have we let that develope as part of football? Yesterday Maupay never once thought about scoring his first intention was to go down for a penalty and it’s got to be eradicated from the game.
