Press news in...

Daniel Farke's pre-Brighton press conference is about to begin! Updates to follow.
--------------------------------------------------------------

DF: There are a few slight knocks. Rashica was struggling with knee problems, but they seem to be all okay and available.

DF: Teemu thinks more about the team. Sometimes you're greedy for a fantastic goal record, but he's an even better human being than a football player.

DF: We want to build on the game against Burnley. We want to take the defensive steel and solidity into Saturday's game.

DF: I like our competitiveness and fight (at Burnley). The longer the game went on the better we were offensively. We also want to score goals.

DF: Graham Potter is doing a fantastic job. When we won the Championship two and a half years ago, I liked his football at Swansea. He's also down to earth and humble. You feel there is a great bond within the club due to his leadership.

DF: We liked Neal Maupay, but Brighton blew us out the water financially.

DF: Our aim at the moment is simple. We want to stay in this league. It's not so much about philosophy. We have to be efficient.

DF: Normann has been back in team training for two days and is available. Cantwell has been back since the start of the week.

DF: Billy Gilmour has been struggling with a knock and a cold but he's available.

DF: The only bad news is Zimmermann, who is still struggling with ankle problems. It looks like he needs surgery. Good news with Byram, who has been taking part in major parts of training this week.

DF: Przemek is in good shape after international duty but he needs time to build his sharpness, so an option for future weeks. He's had a bit of an issue with his heart rhythm as a symptom of Covid. So we've had to be very careful, but has been given the all clear by the doctors. It's too early to be involved in the squad for tomorrow.

DF: All of the Scottish players came back in a good mood. Billy Gilmour has had slight calf issues and a bit of a blocked nose but is a tough lad. A really good option for our team.

DF: I can't ask for better owners. We're not jealous as a club. They lead the club with so much passion and the right values. They believe in the long-term process, not just quick success. They're a major reason why I extended my contract here.

DF: The whole world writes us off but our fans feel the pride and understand what we're doing. We want to defend this yellow shirt and our values with all we have got. This is our way.

DF: (On pressure to play Gilmour and Williams) They want the challenge to play ahead of our own players. We do not hand out gifts. I’m not here to please Chelsea and Manchester United, only win points for Norwich City.

DF: Billy Gilmour is a baller. Playing against the Faroe Islands is different to playing in the Premier League. I am happy with him. Even if I substitute him in the 89th minute in a friendly he is angry. That is a mentality I like.

DF: We had our first step at Burnley. But other steps have to follow. We want to win topics. I'm not willing to interpret the table too much.

DF: Milot Rashica has the potential to add goals and assists to his game. I am certain we won’t have to wait long till he’s off the mark.

DF: We have no room for racism. We are open. We are tolerant. We are not interested in passports but human beings. It is a key value for us.
