Why McVeigh? Too inconsistent?

seems to me like he's quite handy to have around, especially given Worthy's refusal to buy proper wide players.

I guess in a perfect world we wouldn't need him, (particularly given the number of other striker options we'll have next season - new target man, Earnshaw, Leon, Jarvis, Henderson, Huckerby...) - but can you see that happening?
