Also, was it just a coincidence that until his numerous injuries, Green was tooth and nail with Kirkland for the third spot? Another Puddle keeper who never really got a look in but still got considered by virtue of his connection with, you got it, a big club!
Green has only recently been injured and his performances this season haven't been anywhere near as bad as some people have made out.
I agree that he needs a move away if he is to achieve his ambitions. I can think of a number of Prem clubs, Everton, Charlton that could use his services.
