If the ESL had gone ahead...
Newcastle wouldn't be in it. Would the Saudis have bothered investing if they didn't have a place ? Doubt it. And if they did would what remains of the Premier League be like Germany or France where they have one massive club that wins most of the trophies and the rest scrabble about over the League Cup ?
