Is that still the case?

Surely most people queuing now do need fuel and the issue is that petrol stations are struggling to catch up on supply.

It's probably been the case that over the last few months petrol station reserves (i.e. the amount they always have left over before a fresh delivery) have been dwindling a bit. As in, demand exceeds supply.

That's not an issue with normal buying behaviour and would have recovered over time. But, with a mass change in buying behaviour and petrol stations being completely emptied, demand exceeding supply is now a big problem.

Hope I'm wrong and supply does exceed demand, I'm just not sure that's the case right now.
