Team news in...

Daniel Farke's pre-Everton press conference is about to begin. Updates to follow...
--------------------------------------------------------------

DF: Zimmermann will miss the game due to his ankle problem. Placheta is still out due to Covid symptoms, but I hope to have him back in training next week. Cantwell is out due to personal reasons and there's a question mark behind Rashica after the cup game.

DF: Normann missed the cup game but is back in training and available. Also good news with Sargent, who is back today.

DF: It's important to score from set-pieces. I expect Pukki to score more goals, but we need more from other team members.

DF: I like that players aren't scared to take responsibility on the pitch, it just has to be in the right manner. Sometimes you have to give tough love.

DF: Everton will be highly motivated to show a reaction in terms of results. All the matters is that we're good in our game.

DF: Against a Rafa Benitez side, you won't have many chances. You have to be good on the ball because they are strong in the counter. There are a few topics where you have to be strong against his teams.

DF: I would never sign for a draw before the game. I want to win.

DF: We won't change our style. We aren't going to be putting the ball over the stand and into the river.

DF: We are focused. We are united. We are levelled.

DF: Godfrey has outgrown the Championship. He's playing every game in different roles. A fantastic player and person. He has a bright future but I hope he doesn't shine tomorrow.

DF: We are three points behind our plan. We are not overly happy but it doesn't mean we are waving the white flag.

DF: Supporters weren't happy after the Watford game, but if you judge this in a levelled way then we won 30 games last season. For 29 games, everyone was in a good mood. We let the supporters down. But after one game they were booing. It was a bit harsh on my young players.

DF: National media are criticising us because we have 0 points on the board. But we are fully convinced about how we act. Nothing will change in how we approach our way.
We won't sack our sporting director or our head coach. We want improvements and we have to adapt.
