There's a flaw in your logic really.

On the one hand you think our scouts have identified players with qualities that we need to be a success.

On the other hand you think the same group has completely failed at this task with one specific player.

No one knows much about Normann.
Gilmour hasn't shown anything for us.
Lees-Melou doesn't look levels ahead.
Kenny and Rupp are very similar to my mind.

My own opinion is that what players are being asked to do is the problem, not necessarily the personnel.

Do I think LR7 is our best midfielder? Not a clue. He offered superb balance alongside Skipp last season until he got injured and I think that form pushed Kenny on to another level.

I hope Normann does turn out to be our best player.

But right now, we don't really know anything.
