I'm not going to knee jerk after that
Really disappointing, but we were close enough to feel that against worse teams we CAN compete. I'm going to try to be optimistic.
Then again, I didnt see much to think Arsenal are anything other than a mid table team. If I wasnt trying to be optimistic, I would worry that another season of "the usual" beckons. Good enough to be well in most games, but not quite good enough to actually cash out any points. Eventually confidence drains away, and we end up relegated with a whimper. I bloody hope note, but last two games have felt so horribly familiar.
Obviously one goal from four games, that a pen, is hardly grounds for us to be confident enough we have enough going forwards though. Whisper it, because of what he has done for us in the past, but has the time come for Pukki to sit a few games out? It's just not working with him at the centre of a front three. We're not producing the kind of chances he thrives on.
What about Tzolis, Idah, Rashica? Pace and power rather than guile?
