The rule though gives the opportunity for some interesting tactical developments
at corners. Chelsea pretty much cleared the 6yard box and went 1on1 believing they would get to the ball first. (Not something we can do admittedly). Maybe if the 6 yard box is relatively empty we will see a few more attempts of swinging the corner directly in the goal. Could be interesting if Rashica can find his range.
For what it's worth I found the decision yesterday a little picky but understand, thems the rules. Schmeichels view wasn't blocked as you could see him looking past Cantwell and he also wasn't impeded to get the ball, because he wasn't going to get that not matter. I thought VAR was supposed to be more lenient on these tight decisions? The ref in generally was pretty poor yesterday I felt.
It feels a bit of a CamJam moment but I think that Farke will be able to use to rally the lads.
