For me, the issue was we invited them onto us from the outset

We had a couple of goal kicks before they scored. Both our centre backs were on our own goal line. Our full backs were also deep. They pressed us back knowing we’d either try and play a suicidal pass or would give them a throw in 35 yards out. We gave it away about 3 times in that opening 5 minutes trying to play it out snd they just kept taking the ball off us and building pressure.

I do get that we try to play out so we beat the press but there is a time and a place for it surely? I don’t think this was it.
