But I think net spend is more relevant than gross spend, particularly in the context of selling our star player.

If we only spend a net £5m, for example, ignoring wages and sign ons etc, that’s not actually a huge amount of investment overall, noting though that it could make a big positive difference to our squad.

Feels like there should be a bit more in the bank still though.
