Martin finished his playing career at Milton Keynes Dons in 2019, and became the club's manager the same year. He was appointed head coach of Swansea City in 2021 despite promising MK Dons that he would be there for the long term. Martin has gained a reputation for being a judas who leaves behind a project at the first opportunity and will inevitably leave Swansea as soon as another club comes sniffing.
