the problem is we struggle to attract decent players at this level

we can cash in Cantwell, but who of comparable quality is going to come to a team who are relegation favourites, who pay low wages and are, at least for foreign signings, in a geographically bad location?

I can't remember the last time we made a decent signing in the Prem who actually improved us that season. Olsson perhaps? They are very few and far between though.
