That post yesterday about consecutive holes in one at (the old) Royal Norwich GC in 1971..
I was there that day. The tournament was the Dunlop Masters - quite prestigious. I was just in my teens and lived in Hellesdon so I recall going to watch the last day.
The player who hit the holes in one (quite incredible when you think about it) was named John Hudson I think, but the tournament winner was a young Bernard Gallacher. I remember in his winner's speech he said he had spent all afternoon in the beer tent once he finished his round as he never expected to win! He was really funny. Always liked him since that day (many years later I liked his daughter as well....)
