Alternatively ,I thought the 3cb backline last night really suited us and would maybe offer us more flexibility with the players we now have in midfield.

So maybe 2 centrebacks with one left sided, flexible enough to fill in at lb in a 4 at the back?

Main gap for me is we need a dfm enforcer. Gilmour looks tidy but is not a Skipp replacement. Though again, depending on formation and tactics that might be less of an issue.

Big positive for me was that Dowell is looking like a proper goal scoring number 10. Set up some great opportunities and took his goals well. Promising.

If we go for a fullback, having someone who can play either side would be really useful. Mumba looks more like a wingback to me (tho I think dimi could do that on the left too, which is why I think we might be looking for a slightly different defensive mix this year)

Reinforcements needed either way.
