That's the point.
It was never a gift to the club.
Basically invested 95M, took out 30M plus 5%
He is hoping the club gets promoted so the investors can flip the club in the future.
If by some chance they made it to the PL then his 5% would be worth probably another 10-15M
There may also be some other "sell on" clauses in the deal.
Maybe he gets a % of any profit the investors make if flipped within 10 years.
