Soccer-Van Wijk takes charge at Willem II
AMSTERDAM, April 19 (Reuters) - Dennis van Wijk has signed a two-year contract as coach of Willem II Tilburg, the Dutch first division club announced on Wednesday.
Van Wijk arrives from SV Roeselare, who were promoted to the Belgian top flight last season.
Van Wijk, 43 and a former player with Norwich City, Ajax Amsterdam and Club Bruges, will take over from technical director Cees Zwamborn.
Zwamborn stood in for Robert Maaskant who was sacked in November.
Willem II finished 17th in the 18-team league and now play in the relegation play-offs.
