One of his recent books where a character hooks up with a teacher/mentor later and the teacher is a tad creepy.
Pullman was a teacher ergo people assumed he had repressed desires for his students that came out in his work. Its nothing, or IS IT?
Its like how the Asoiaf fandom like to think that thanksgiving is awkward around the Martin family table due to the incest he's written in to the books.
