If the board sacked Worthington...
... they'd probably wait until after the World Cup to replace him, which does sound rather reasonable. That said, if he was sacked directly after the season has finished or a few weeks after, then we'd have a better picking of replacements.
We'll probably linger on with him until mid-July when the potential replacements have moved to Birmingham, West Brom and Sunderland and be left with the unemployed dross that remains. I look forward to years of underachievement with Steve Bruce and Mick McCarthy.
