I'm on my second contract now, with the same company

had one 5 years ago, I doubt it will be any different. My boss changes numbers yearly to get a new phone on the same network so I would have thought they would offer her better when it comes to renewal

When I had a contract 5 years ago, I did the written confirmation a month before it ended and they increased the line rental by 2 months to badger me

They basically rang me every day for 3 months offering me the same 2 deals (one anytime deal, one off peak deal) and both weren't up to speed with the ones you see in the papers, so everytime the answer was easily no

If I said to them "I want more" they would just say that its the static contract and they can't change it

I left it at that, but the calls came in everyday with the same spiel

I just got a pay as you go sim and then the letters arrived with the same offers, so I just waited for them to cut me off

Funniest thing was 4 months after the contract finished I deleted the direct debit thinking it was the end of it, and I got a bill for 12p. So I rang them and asked them how I would pay it, and they told me to send a cheque

haha so I did and they cashed it (I'm pretty sure that cost them money aswell in admin)

Strange places, I hear people all the time saying they have the best deal, I personally don't take any notice of it, its just a "I've got a better deal than you talk, im better than you, my dads better than you........". Just the male ego, I don't often hear lasses talking to each other like that :)
