Cognitive dissonance

I don't think I'm weird to enjoy supporting a club with owners who are genuine fans and that is self funding.

We've *just* had the ESL debacle.

I live in a city where the (generous) owner decided on a whim to change the strip from blue to red and and the badge from a Bluebird to a dragon. Despite ploughing 100s of millions into the club, they have been less successful than us. This is the norm for wealthy owners. Not Leicester.

I don't know what mental gymnastics you perform to square with yourself the ideas that having a wealthy owner=having a better or more successful owner when the top three leagues are chock full with them and we do better than most in the current model.

I also don't understand how anyone can look at the ESL stuff and wish that we were also on that gravy train (and yet still locked out) we will *never* be one of the big six.

I also find it pretty galling behaviour to slag off our owners at every opportunity, particularly when we have just had two out of three successful years. Imagine doing really well at work and then getting fired because "you've taken us as far as you can". Or maybe imagine living in a street which has successively been filled with richer families who have all built large extensions and done the houses up. You've managed to 'keep up with the jones' ' with a tonne of hard work and then your family boot you out because they've found some rich randomer who has promised to buy them a pool.

Definitely went past the point at which we should have agreed to disagree years ago, so I'll draw a line under it now.
