My thoughts on Hughes........

....

Whilst I agree Hughes is a logical target for the ?boo-boys? I must admit I do not use Hughes as a scapegoat for such an abject season ? I blame the person directly responsible for the fiasco that has been the 2005/2006 season. However, Hughes, as far as I?m concerned isn?t immune to receiving abuse. I won?t release my frustration at him for Worthington?s actions; I vent my frustration at him for being an appalling footballer with little technical ability and the fact that he constantly claps the fans. I have nothing against clapping as it shows commitment and passion, but Hughes does it to an extent that he is trying to appease supporters and gain respect. Contrary to Hughes? beliefs, this isn?t the case as respect is gained through performances. That?s how Darren Huckerby came to be loved by the Norwich faithful and it?s the same road messrs Etuhu, Robinson and Hughes have to travel down if they want respect. The truth hurts. I admire Andy Hughes as a personality, but as a footballer, I wouldn?t lose sleep if he departed to pastures new, in fact, I cannot think of anyone who would remotely miss him apart from his manager who seems to love it whenever Hughes gets an orgasm from touching a football.
