agree we need to play the long game here

The real issue is we need to be better at recruiting talent than others and be prepared to lose games by playing them.

Hence when we are in the prem this is a tough ask as all teams play risk averse and dont play youngsters especially those at the bottom of the league. So we are destined to yo-yo with this approach even if we have lots of cash.

The other approach is buy players others teams dont want like Holt, Hanley, Mclean, Pukki, Krul and you cant have too many of those.

I think we have done a fantastic job - i hope Emi stays for one glorious season and then goes to man city for 100M/
