Not having a dig, just stating a fact. The price of our model/ownership situation is that

more so than any others (and even they still lose players to the very big clubs) we are just not able to retain key players by offering them big wages/financial inducements to stay and we are probably more reliant on sales in order to supplement the transfer budget because we don;t have someone bank rolling us or even helping temporarily with the cash flow.

I would be amazed if Watford sell Sarr in this window or indeed if Brentford sell Toney if they get promoted. Maybe both might move on after successful seasons in the premier league. Stand to be corrected though if they are both sold.
