Revolution!

We can campaign for a fundamental restructuring of the whole football finance structure.

Yeah - I agree with what you say. Ultimately, unless you're pulling in 50k+ fans per week and have a billionaire backer you're never going to 'establish' yourself in the Prem.

Even Leicester who are going through a purple patch now would only need a ropey season or two to be at risk.

And while I doubt they'll be as blatant again the power of the so called 'big 6'will ensure that's the status quo for the foreseeable.

So, best we can do is enjoy the ride and stick doing what we're doing.

As I said two years ago, if you play by the existing rules and try to spend your way 'safe' you'll be disappointed. There are probably 45 clubs or more that could beat us at that metric, so we have to go a different path.

Of the player names you mention, the one that stands out for me is Helveg. He typifies the dilemma. I remember him cynically taking out someone (Ryan giggs?) and getting a yellow card, snuffing out a dangerous attack on the half way line. It was the kind of savvy we lacked that season.

I think with some of these sort of signings and particularly at Prem level they need a season or so to adjust to the pace and quirks of English football.

Particularly with the way we play we need to look to ease any 'big' new signings in.

It took a while for us to see the best of Krul, Pukki, McLean, dimi.

We're seeing the same with Dowell. You get the occasional player who clicks really quickly (Skipp, Gibson). But that's why I think we should be very careful not to churn the squad too hard. The likes of Stiepy, Onel, Zimmermann, rupp will all have a part to play if we're to do okay next year.

In my opinion. Ymmv.
