You express your feelings in whichever way you see fit.
As long as it doesn't offend common decency etc etc, spontaneous, collective outbursts such as cheering an opponents' goal or booing your own players are merely acceptable by-products of what is served up by the management and the team.
As far as I see it, Worthington can hardly expect an easy ride - so isn't it preferable to have ironic, sarcastic responses than the effigy-hanging, offensive bitterness that has tainted the game in the past?
Personally, I saw nothing today that wasn't thoroughly deserved and when people shell out considerable sums to watch crap like that, I think their relative restraint should be applauded.
At other clubs people would be on the pitch by now.
