Playing with the youth...differing opinions
there seems to be a few articles, especially in the pink un this week suggesting that Worthington is in a no win situation with regards to playing some of the promising youngsters, whereas on here most people who have expressed an opinion seem to think that is a win-win situation.
I have to agree with the WOTB view, now that it appears that the board have giving Worthington some hint that he will be here at least for the start of the season, he feels he can play the younger players without fear of retribution safe in the knowledge that he has a few more paydays to come. Up until that point it seemed the younger players were not ready...in a little over a few weeks the boys have become men and deserve a bit of a run out.
Safe job or the mathematical impossibility of reaching the play-offs at least the fans get to see what they have been asking for a long time...for us to see what the youngsters are capable of and not having to trust the word of the manager
