I think it just whips up the fans rather than potential buyers

Any club considering trying to buy any of our players will already have known their qualities before yesterday's game.

It is strange though, to be worried about retaining players after a promotion season. I've never had that concern before.

On the plus side though, if we do sell any of them, it will be for mega bucks. When did we last sell a star player as a PL side? Chris Sutton?
