Because he started so young at Newcastle and had been around for so long it's truly remarkable that we managed to get him in his prime.

But surprising that he wasn't able to get a gig at Brighton - though I think that's the issue with the Prem, not really the margins to play someone back into form.

Still, it'd be great if we can keep him for the rest of his career - seems a top, top top character.
