My only Frank Worthington memory
Although I must have seen him play quite a few times.
Against Leicester in 1975 Ted scored early. They then murdered us for about 80 minutes but didn't score. In the dying minutes they finally got past Keelan, but Tony Powell brilliantly dived away to his left and palmed it round the post.
Worthington, who was rightly feared, stepped up and... tapped the penalty Troy Parrott-like to Keelan.
Moments later the ball was cleared into an empty Leicester half. It was a race between Ted and Wallington to get to it, which the Leicester keeper won easily. He lashed his clearance straight into Ted's chest and it flew back past him into the net.
STILL the jammiest goal I've ever seen us score.
