Wasn't he brought as a replacement for Maddison in the 10 role?

I think the combination of decent skills, footballing brain and being able to put his foot in meant that he was ideal for the role he is playing at the moment. In 18/19 he was learning this new role but now he has really mastered it. Its a joy to watch how him cover the other attacking players and how he and Rupp can almost seemlessly swap positions.

I think Farke deserves loads of credit for this, much like developing Godfrey into a CB but also that the Mayor has the brain and the willingness to learn... Our whole team on the footballing side is something special.
