I thought there was a good smattering of realism from their fans on their forum

This for example:

Sometimes you have to tip your hat and accept the way better team won-well done Norwich City!
However, the most depressing thing about last night is that we were given a lesson by a club(with
a lesser football heritage)that are everything Nottingham Forest are not-a club which sticks by
a manager despite relegation,a club which develops its stadium,a club with a style of play and
a club which refuses to overspend on journeyman players.
Sadly,Forest remind me of a drunk in a casino desperately having a final spin trying to hit the
jackpot-looking at the comments this morning it seems some of our fans fancy another spin!
Since the advent of the modern era in 1992,Forest have lurched from crisis to crisis with little or
no planning. My idea of planning involves improving the academy(and not selling our best talent
to fund ageing players),developing the stadium and most importantly sticking with a manager long
enough to establish an identity.
It hurts to be a Nottingham Forest supporter this morning, but there has to be a better way forward.
