The Woollies in "Town" in Southampton used to have a café
My generation of the family still say, if someone drops food at the table, "Can't take you to Woolworths". The correct reply is "Twice to apologise". Something my mother used to say.
Of course if we wanted to be a bit posher we went to Edwin Jones, later Debenhams and now closed permanently. The pandemic was the final nail.
