It's kind of staggering that some teams still run with "the manager does everything"
In any structure in any organisation, that kind of setup means the performance of the whole is limited by the vision and the capability of that one person through whom everything must go. Delegated authority with accountability for results and a requirement to work in partnership backed up by proper governance simply puts more brains in the mix.
