Press news in...

Here comes the boss, updates to start shortly.
---------------------------------------------------

DF: There are some bad news, with Todd Cantwell. He had calf problems after the last game. He has a minor muscle injury so he will be out for the weekend. That is bad news because he was in really good form. There is also a question over Onel Hernandez because he got a dead leg and was unable to finish the training on Wednesday. Ben Gibson with his back had a session. There is still a question mark on him but I am carefully optimistic that he will be available for the weekend. Josh Martin is also not available because he got a hit on the toe. It is not a major injury but he won't be available for the weekend.

DF: In order to be successful you need the whole group and you need options and that is what we have at the moment. We had much more difficult situations during the season when we had our number one and two goalkeeper unavailable, had no striker available and had no left back available, but it is not easy when you play every three days to handle the load.

DF: It was not a major incident (injury to Oliver Skipp against Rotherham). He got a finger of the opponent in the eye but not a major head injury. We are happy we have Oliver (Skipp). He shows consistency in his first season. He reminds me of Max Aarons in his first season when he was always available, always consistent and always improving.

DF: I really do like them (Wycombe). I like what Gareth (Ainsworth) is doing. He has delivered for years and they are brave and they go with their style. They always want to bring their style on the pitch, try to bring their offence and I like this, I like this bravery. It is a sign of their fighting spirit that they go into their games with a lot of bravery and togetherness. It is fantastic what they are doing. I would like them to stay in this league because it is good to have these characters.

DF: It would be too soon to see if Todd Cantwell will be available for Brentford. I wouldn’t say it is a big chance but we will wait and see.

DF: Nyland is back in team training. He was out for quite a long time - for several months - so we will give him time. He is available but it is important for him from day to day to find more confidence and rhythm and every day in training will help him. We don’t have to rush him back in because we have two good goalkeepers In Tim Krul and Daniel Barden.

DF: If I am honest, all these topics were in our minds. First of all our major focus was just on this season. It was a relentless schedule and we need some steel. Also our reputation had grown and a lot of teams would sit deep and we are still one fo the best sides in terms of creating chances. However, we had to make sure we were solid as well. To make sure that we could return to dressing room with clean sheets. In the long term we want to return to the Premier League as quick a possible and stay there and to do that you have to be solid. However, the major focus was on this season because it is too early to think about the Premier League because there are many more games to go.

DF: Yes, Todd (Cantwell) was in brilliant shape and as offensive player it is not easy to show this in each and every moment. This is what you have to accept that though that sometimes your best players, or your players who are in best shape, are not available.

DF: He (Ben Gibson) has not been out for too long so it can be quite quick, but we have to see how he comes through the next two training sessions. He is our only left footed centre-back so it is always good to have him back for the balance of the team and a player of his class and character but it is too soon to say.

DF: We have a great reputation as a club to develop players and sometimes the best clubs in the world call us and say can you help us with this player and if it helps all parties then we can do this. Raw talents are in good hands with Norwich City and that good for us a club.

DF: We have a great set up for young players, using their potential and backing them. That is part of what we have to be to be successful as a club. As long as we are self-funding club it will always be one of our topics to promote young players.
