The Helveg story- in full translation
I am Canary-fan living in Norway. Just had to do a full translation of the article found in Berlingske Tidende, The danish newspaper.
Danish is pretty similar to written Norwegian, so here she goes:
According to the English newspaper, Daily Mirror, Thomas Helveg is about to buy himself out of his contract with Norwich. After doing so, he is destined to join Br?ndby.
The Mirror writes further: The dansih national-team captain is ready to fork out about 2.5 mill Danish Kroner (ca. ?120,000) to release himself from his contract.
Br?ndby are then said to be ready to offer Helveg a giant sign-on-fee.
Helveg rejects any of these claims to B.T (danish newspaper Berlingske Tidende.):
"There is no truth in this at all! I was very surprise when I first heard the news", Helveg says.
- Will Br?ndby be a possible target if you were to move somewhere else?
"I've always told you that I'll take a look at my situation with Norwich later on. I am now, for the time being, concetrating on our National team's match v. Albania. "
The head coach of Brondby, Michael Laudrup, is chasing an experienced player who is able to follow in the footsteps of Morten Wieghorst(former Celtic player!).
Helveg would be able to both play at centre back and at right back.
The director of football at Br?ndby, Per Bjerregaard, hasn't got much to say about the story printed in the Daily Mirror.
"I haven't heard anything about this. We've got an important match coming up on Saturday; and this is what we'll focus on", says Bjerregaard.
Norwich "Chief", Neil Doncaster isn't able to confirm the Helveg-story.
The paper, Norwich evening News yesterday, showed him the story courtesy of Daily Mirror.
