Massive luck
Looking at how many others have dropped to League 1 and not been back to the prem since, we’re in a small group, most of the others are wealthy clubs in comparison. Man City, Leeds, Wolves and Southampton in particular.
This is a particularly dreadful time to be a big club in league one given there is no stadium revenue but costs remain high
