I would have thought they’d stay if we went up

Surely playing every week in the prem for us is better than being a bench warmer at a big club? And if just swapping our relegation struggle for another side’s, they might as well stay.

Realistically though, safe to say we’ve got a maximum of 18 months more of Aarons and Buendia. Cantwell I’m not so sure, a talented lad no doubt, but not so sure with his style of play there’s an obvious pathway for him to a big club, but of course if we don’t go up, or we do and he does brilliantly in the prem, then everything changes.

As it stands, you could see Buendia and Aaron’s getting the kind of move the club would grudgingly endorse, Todd I think probably isn’t quite there yet, not saying he couldn’t get a move to somewhere like Fulham, WBA (if they change manager) or maybe Brighton, perhaps Leeds, but not quite the same category as the others right now.
