There are three main differences between now and two years ago

1. Teams park the bus, or employ aggressive pressing tactics (either in our half or as soon as we get within 35 yards of their goal). I don't remember them doing that too much last time. The only team I can remember pressing us really hard was Preston. As a result, we're finding it harder to create gilt-edged chances, and therefore harder to score.

2. Most things Pukki hit went in previously. Probably partly as a consequence of 1, his confidence is down, he's snatching at chances, or taking too many touches, and he looks half the player he was. And there's no real alternative to him.

3. Number 10. Stiepermann's injuries have robbed us of a reliable creator and supply line for Pukki, and 8-10 goals from that position. Dowell's injuries have meant we've no idea if he can fill that gap. Mario isn't a number 10. Kenny isn't really a number 10 either.
