I liked some of Giannoulis’ attacking play in the second half
It’s going to take a little while for him to get used to the demands of championship football though, and it’s not going to get much easier v Millwall and Swansea.
What was obvious though, although it didn’t work today, it allowed Farke to play his preferred system of having the full backs further up the pitch. looked to me like he was trying to keep the solidity with skipp and Rupp covering the full backs.
It didn’t work today, but I can see how it might in the future if sides come and sit in and stay narrow, which many have this season.

- He looked lightweight to me. Physically. Early days obs, so he needs the benefit of doubt. (NCFC) - DH Yellow, Jan 30, 21:34:29
- I think the first half was quite a shock to him, given Boro came to play rugby (NCFC) - NJ_Canary, Jan 30, 21:07:48
