Press news in...

Here is the boss.
--------------------------------------------------------------

DF: Bali Mumba and Xavi Quintilla have tested positive for COVID-19 so we now have four players out. We also have a few more backroom staff who have it.

DF: Lukas Rupp and Josh Martin have both felt ill and they will miss the game. Also Marco Stiepermann is still out for this game.

DF: My biggest worry is the health of the human beings. Of course, I feel for the lads out, but you have to think about everyone affected by this virus. I'm happy we're now being tested twice a week, we actually did three tests this week. We have to show some responsibility.

DF: We have to be as disciplined as possible but football is a game of emotions and we cannot play this game like robots. If there is a little high five after a goal, you can't avoid it. If I compare this to defending a corner or building a wall for a free-kick, they are similar.

DF: I don't think that the celebrations after goals are the biggest topics, but in the emotional moments we have to stay disciplined as possible.

DF: I don't want to speak about any rumours. I don't like to speak about other players who are under contracts with other clubs. We've been transparent about potentially getting a goalkeeper, left-back and maybe even centre-back. If we find a good option that fits, great - if not, we will go further on.

DF: If nothing major happens, he [Daniel Barden] will play tomorrow. I hope he can show this consistency further on.

DF: Cardiff are a side who know how they pay. Kieffer Moore could come back in, they have an unbelievably experienced coach. Right now, they're not in the position they want to be but that have potential to win five or six in a row. It will be a difficult away game and they'll be highly-motivated coming up against the league leaders at home.

DF: I trust my players and we're confident in each and every game. Cardiff will want to show a reaction to the first game. We need a very good performance and we are respectful.

DF: Because of COVID, four players won't be available. It's up to the authorities what they make of it. I've spoke about the responsibility that football has in terms of cheering people up and lifting the mood. But it's not down me to judge, we just follow the rules and the protocols.

DF: The players are aware of the pandemic. You don't see a player celebrating a goal with the bench or people in the stand, but we are not robots - we are human beings.

DF: It's a nice compliment from Neil [that we are the best team in the league]. We were dominant against Cardiff but every game is just a moment.

DF: Neil and Cardiff will be highly-motivated to get points against us.

DF: Christoph Zimmermann is not available for tomorrow. Marco Stiepermann has had Epstein Barr virus and it's been affecting his immune system. He is out for the next few weeks.

DF: Kieran Dowell could be back in squad for tomorrow. We are optimistic but he'll definitely be back for Wednesday.

DF: One physio and three sports science staff have the virus. We want to make sure they return pretty safe. They will isolate for ten days. Four player and five backroom staff members are unavailable, to confirm.

DF: Xavi is very strong in my thoughts. We're very pleased to have him back, it was his first proper game back last week. He had a solid game. He is a very good player.

DF: We still need numbers in the left-back role, Jacob Sorensen is seen as a midfielder. We should try and sign a natural full-back.

DF: Experience is very important. As coaching staff, we know what it's like to win a trophy and we have players who've won as well. We have a good mix of that but also players who are hungry for success.

That's all from the Canaries head coach. More to come on our channels in the lead up to tomorrow's game.
