If our manager was an honest man he would say
" I recognise I and the players that I have brought to this club this season have the club and the fans. I acknowledge that I have not spent wisely the money that the Board gave to me. I agree that my buys particularly in mid season were panic buys in my desparation to make up for my previous failings.
I acknowledge that the Board have allowed me to spend money to create the most expensive but ultimately the most underperforming team in the Championship . I have run out of ideas and I now believe that it is time for me to move on and to see whether a new man at the helm with fresh ideas can produce a team that the fantastic Board and the fans at this club deserve.
I will be seeing the Board on Monday to offer my resignation and trust that I can agree appropriate terms with them to enable me to leave with my head held high and a handshake and a mutual thank you for the fantastic ride that I and the club , apart from this season, have enjoyed together."
Some hope. Our manager continues to be in denial that he has any responsibility for the failings of the team this season.
