From personal experience the act service isn't much different
Beta companies. However the customer service can be very different.
The ISP doesn't own the line, that's all down to Openreach.
I'm a right old tart and I usually whore my custom out to the cheapest with the best speed.
I'm only interested in sport, not films or any other packages.
Previous providers I've had are.
Talk talk but the only sport I could get out of them was Sky sport main event.
Sky just became too expensive and they couldn't match what my next ISP was offering which happened to be NOW. So I went to them.
NOW where ok but the price was edging in the wrong direction so when that contract was up, Off I f**ked
BT, well they had an offer on, service is fine but customer service was s**te. I was 10 days without broadband, they kept blaming NOW for not transferring. Turns out they where talking bollocks. Eventually got them to contact Openreach, their engineer found a fault on the line and now all is well. BT did lend me a 4G mini hub, which I'm holding onto until they ask for it back. Fuck 'em.
It's a game of roulette.
