It’s this paragraph that stands out for me

Without saying it there is direct comparison with the owners of the two clubs geographically closest to them where the owners are fully engaged with the supporters and even if factions want them out they don’t hide. Say what you like about both Delia/Michael and Robbie Cowling but they engage with the supporters.

Evans uses the club as a method of avoiding taxes on profitable parts of his business - I believe that he puts in a loan each year which increases the debt which is repayable at commercial rates to another subsidiary and therefore counts as “income” to the ME group without third party involvement. It’s the corporate equivalent of the three card trick. I’m not a tax expert and I’m sure that what is done is legal but morally wrong.
