People are panic buying because....
They are worried others will panic buy and then they won’t be able to get what they need.
Not because they are worried about under supply as such.
I doubt you’ll find anyone that actually admits to panic buying, rather plenty of people that are just buying a little bit extra of a few things (which is panic buying).
It’s the prisoner’s dilemma in action; we’d all be better off if everyone just carried on as normal, but due to the risk of being f**ked over lots of people decide they might as well do the f**king rather than getting f**ked.
