My Nana suffered from diabetes and had to have some toes amputated due to bad circulation.

As it got worse she went in for an operation to have her foot removed. As it turn out they opted to amputate half of her leg. When I phoned a good friend of mine to tell him about the operation, he asked “which half?”.
I later told Nana and she thought it was hilarious
