Half could be taking the vaccine, half a placebo.
Psychological reactions are also important for researchers.
In some trials patients are randomised and given a different Sub ID at visit 2 to keep the anonymity.
In one trial, even the drug information can be randomised so even the doctor is unaware which drug or placebo is in the cryovial/edta
