Horrible thought I know... The UK wide R0 value is currently between 1.2 and 1.5. SAGE give you these options:

[1] Full lockdown - reduces R0 by 2.00
[2] Two week circuit breaker lockdown - delays pandemic by 28 days
[3] Ban household mixing - reduces R0 by 0.15
[4] Order those who can to work from home - reduces R0 by 0.30
[5] Close Pubs and Restaurants - reduces R0 by 0.15
[6] Close gyms - reduces R0 by 0.10
[7] Close places of worship - reduces R0 by 0.10
[8] Block face-face University teaching - reduces R0 by 0.30
[8] Close Schools - reduces R0 by 0.30

Which do you implement?

For me it is work from home, close gyms, close places of worship and bar face-face Uni teaching.

A Spanish hospital treated 76 patients. 26 were in a control group and treated normally. 50 were given Calcifediol - fast acting vitamin D - and then treated normally. 13 of the 26 in the control group ended up in ICU and 2 died. 1 of the 50 Calcifediol group ended up in ICU and zero died.

So I would add taking a vitamin D supplement to my list. But then you are going to get the muppets who down the bottle in one and then blame politicians for the consequences :-/
